Meet the doctorS


Dr. Reid L. Zehr

Dr Reid Zehr graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Champaign Urbana in 2013. After graduation he returned to his hometown where he joined Fairbury Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian, practicing primarily large animal medicine for 10 years. He married his wife, Tiffany, in 2014 and they live in Fairbury, Illinois with their three children, Shaelynn, Alyssa, and Aiven.  

In 2023, Dr. Zehr and his wife purchased the large animal portion of Fairbury Veterinary Hospital and started Livestock Health Services. They are excited to continue serving the central Illinois area livestock industry, working to provide exceptional large animal care and create lasting relationships with their clients and their animals.

Reid grew up one of four children on a dairy calf ranch and row crop farm in Fairbury. He attended the University of Illinois for both his undergraduate and veterinary studies. Dr. Zehr is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, and Society for Theriogenology. He’s thankful for the greatest gift that’s ever been given, salvation through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and in his free time Reid enjoys being with his family and church family. He also enjoys quartet singing, reading and listening to audio books, flying RC planes, and traveling.

Dr. Seely A. Sayre

Dr. Seely Sayre grew up on a beef cattle and grain farm near Arenzville, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Sayre attended Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Illinois where she competed on both livestock judging teams while completing her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Dr. Sayre started off her veterinary career at a mixed animal clinic in western Illinois before moving to the area in 2022. In her spare time, Dr. Sayre owns and operates Kelly Livestock with her husband, Patrick, where they focus on raising Angus, Red Angus, and Hereford cattle. She is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association. She enjoys attending cattle shows, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Patrick, and their two dogs and cat - Dakota, Copper, and Merlin.
